The conference theme:
"Serving Hawai'i's English Language Learners"
Our theme for the 2019 conference is "Serving Hawai'i's English Language Learners". This lends itself to discussions about how to ensure quality instruction to all students in an ethnically and linguistically diverse state such as Hawai'i.
We are pleased to host Andreas Wiegand as our main plenary session speaker. Andreas is the Educational Specialist for the English Learner Progam and the Project Director of Asian American Pacific Islander Data Disaggregation Grant. He works for the Hawai'i Department of Education out of the Office of Curriculum, Instruction and Student Support.
